Vero Beach, Fla., April 12, 2012 – Continuing its globalization initiatives Piper Aircraft Inc. will again exhibit a major portion of its training and business aircraft line at AERO Friedrichshafen, April 18-21.
"AERO Friedrichshafen is a serious venue for reaching customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa," said Enrico Evers, Piper Regional Sales Director, EMEA. The trade show on the shores of Lake Constance is a prime meeting place for the aviation community and a key interface between industry and the public.
"Piper is grateful to our partners at Piper Generalvertretung Deutschland Ag, SimAvia Russia and Winters Aviation in Belgium and France who are displaying their demonstrator aircraft at the show," he said. On display will be two single-engine turboprop powered Piper Meridians, the flagship of the Piper lineup. Also on exhibit will be a twin-engine Piper Seneca V and a single-engine Piper Archer.
About the Piper Meridian
Designed to meet the stringent requirements of scheduled business and personal transportation, the Piper Meridian combines the most advanced Garmin and Avidyne avionics available today with the reliable, proven Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42A turboprop engine, resulting in an airplane up to the challenges of the most demanding mission profiles.
The Meridian provides turboprop power, 1,000 nm range, 260 ktas cruise speed, and Flight Into Known Icing. It also has strong takeoff and landing performance, especially in hot and high conditions, along with the ability to climb to altitude quickly and efficiently topping most weather and turbulence. Passengers enjoy the low vibration levels of the Meridian’s turboprop engine, the comfort of a pressurized, air-conditioned cabin environment and seating similar to that found in aircraft costing twice as much.
About the Piper Seneca
The Piper Seneca V is a proven performer in the air taxi and on-demand charter business. Thousands of Piper Seneca’s are in operation worldwide providing safe, reliable business travel to those who need to be at remote locations not normally serviced by the airlines. The configuration of multiple entry and baggage doors with the comfort of a cabin-class interior makes the Piper Seneca V the perfect business tool.
With 197 ktas maximum cruise speed, 828 nm at long range power settings and 25,000 ft. operating altitude, the Piper Seneca V gives performance to provide safe, comfortable personal transportation or business travel.
About the Piper Archer
The Piper Archer fulfills two missions with one airplane. The first mission is learning to fly. The second is gaining experience and knowledge in a very capable instrument cross-country airplane. As a classroom, the Piper Archer provides everything needed to learn to safely fly. Standard instrumentation includes the Garmin G500 glass cockpit system, a perfect mixture of low workload and high technology. Comfortable leather seats are standard, and the option for factory-installed air conditioning adds to the Archer’s appeal as a training aircraft. It offers 128 ktas cruise speeds and comes fully IFR equipped.
