John Persinos Joins Aerospace & Security Media

Longtime aerospace journalist John Persinos has joined Aerospace & Security Media in two senior management positions.
 
Effective today (7th June 2010), Mr. Persinos is Online Publisher responsible for all emediaJohn Persinos initiatives at the company. He also will serve as editor-in-chief of the company’s publication, Aviation Maintenance magazine.
 
Aerospace & Security Media is the online umbrella site for such publications as Counter Terror Gazette, Near Space Security, Aviation Security International, and Aviation Maintenance. In his new twin roles with the company, Mr. Persinos will produce various online events, such as monthly webinars (see first webinar details below), that are integrated with the editorial content of Aviation Maintenance and Aerospace & Security’s various other brand names.
 

Mr. Persinos also works as an aerospace analyst for the investment web site, StreetAuthority. He previously served as publisher/editorial director of Aviation Today, the aviation web site maintained by the multi-media company, Access Intelligence. He has worked as a staff reporter on daily metropolitan newspapers and worked on several magazines, including Inc. magazine. From 1997 to 2003, he served as editor-in-chief of Rotor & Wing magazine.

John is the recipient of numerous journalistic awards, including the Royal Aeronautical Society’s prestigious "Aerospace Journalist of the Year Award" in 2001, in the category of "Best General Aviation Submission," for his work at Rotor & Wing.

John holds a B.A. in English, an M.A. in English Literature, and an M.S. in Journalism, all from Boston University. He also completed the Davenport Fellowship in Business and Economics Reporting at the University of Missouri (Columbia) School of Journalism. John attended the Bell Helicopter Training Academy in 1998.
