Missouri Releases New Airport Directory

The 2012-13 Missouri Airport Directory is now available. The flight-planning tool that provides facility information to pilots and users of Missouri’s system of public-use airports, is produced by the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The directory is provided free-of-charge with funding for this and all state aviation programs coming from aviation fuel taxes and not from state general revenue or highway funds.

Directories are available at most local airports in Missouri, by contacting MoDOT’s customer service center toll-free at 1-888-ASK-MODOT (888-275-6636) or by writing to MoDOT’s Aviation Unit, P.O. Box 270, Jefferson City, MO 65102. The directory can be viewed on MoDOT’s Website at www.modot.org/othertransportation/aviation/airportdirectory.htm .

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
