The Oakland County International Airport along with the Michigan Business Aviation Association, recently hosted a business aviation expo in Pontiac, Michigan featuring representatives from top aircraft manufacturers as well as charter flight, fractional ownership, and air freight companies.
The September 25th Air Transportation Expo, featured over $250 million in static aircraft on display. These included everything from a Waco to a G650ER and highlighted business jets from Bombardier and Dassault/Falcon. Several informative sessions were held including Getting Started with Business Aviation, Operating a Flight Department, and The Ins and Outs of Fractional Ownership. The Michigan Department of Transportation – Office of Aeronautics also participated in the event, which exceeded expectations drawing over 300 paid attendees from businesses throughout Michigan, 20 display booths, and several distinguished guests. Office of Aeronautics Administrator Mike Trout, A.A.E. gave remarks on behalf of Governor Rick Snyder, emphasizing the benefits of general aviation to Michigan and the use of aircraft for business.
