Lightspeed Aviation has announced sponsorship of the Lightning Formation Airshows Team, a highly experienced team of talented formation and aerobatic pilots.

The members of the newly named Lightning Formation Airshows Team have flown together for over 5 years. Their signature show, developed over the past three years, features eight aircraft, including a core 6-ship that performs flybys in various formation shapes, plus two solo aircraft that fly exciting high speed and dynamic passes and maneuvers. The team’s colorful RV aircraft and non-stop action with lots of airshow smoke are crowd favorites wherever they fly.

Mills, a retired Navy Captain with 41 years of flying experience heads up the team of 12 highly seasoned pilots, that includes current and retired Navy and Air Force pilots, Reno Air Racers, aerobatics experts and test pilots.
