The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced the addition of Aviation Safety Resources and Whelen Aerospace Technologies as Members; Kitty Hawk as an Associate Member Full; and Aura Network Systems and Jump Aero as Associate Members EPIC.
Aviation Safety Resources is based out of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and was founded in 2000. They design, test and produce whole aircraft emergency recovery parachute systems for experimental, light sport and general aviation aircraft, as well as for the emerging advanced aerial mobility (AAM) and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) markets.
Whelen Aerospace Technologies is headquartered in Sebastian, Florida, and was founded in 1952. They design, engineer and manufacture lighting products for the aerospace industry, including landing, taxi, anti-collision and position lights for general aviation aircraft.
Kitty Hawk is based out of Palo Alto, California, and was founded in 2010. They design, develop and build EVTOL aircraft with the goal of freeing the world from traffic.
Aura Network Systems is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and was founded in 2019. They provide an air-to-ground wireless communications network which enables voice, data and navigation capabilities for the aviation community.
Jump Aero is based in Petaluma, California, and was founded in 2019. They are developing eVTOL aircraft to transport first responders safely and quickly to the scene of an emergency.
