As the company approaches thirty years in business, Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. (APTech) has announced the appointment of four new Principals: Kyle Potvin, P.E., Genevieve Long, P.E., LEED AP, Todd Hoerner, P.E., and Stephanie Slife, MBA. These newly minted Vice Presidents collectively bring over 80 person years of experience working for APTech, further strengthening the firm’s leadership team. Thanks to their dedication and hard-earned wisdom, the firm is well poised to continue providing clients with high-quality services for many more years to come.

Meet APTech’s New Vice Presidents
Kyle is the firm’s State Airport Agencies Program Director and has over two decades of experience in pavement engineering. He is also a Vice President and member of the Board of Directors. Kyle has successfully led countless statewide airport pavement management system projects across the country and has been instrumental in helping state aviation agencies manage their vast pavement network. Nationally recognized for his proficiency in pavement management and the Pavement Condition Index methodology, Kyle is a voting member of the ASTM Committee responsible for standards covering pavement management systems, pavement testing methods, and PCI inspections.
Gen’s dedication to APTech is evidenced by her career-long tenure with the firm, starting as an Engineering Associate in 2003 and advancing to her current role as Vice President and Commercial Airports and Department of Defense Program Director. From this unique perspective, she brings a wealth of expertise in pavement engineering, in particular pavement management and structural evaluation and design. Gen has earned recognition as an industry leader with a proven track record of consistently delivering projects on time and on budget.
As APTech’s Technology Director and Vice President, Todd oversees the integral technology and software used by our staff and clients, including APTech’s signature web-based pavement management data visualization tool, IDEA. He is also responsible for exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies, such automated data collection, drones, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Todd has led APTech’s software development efforts in designing and developing many web-based software solutions for both clients and internal use.
Finally, Stephanie joins the other Principals as APTech’s results-driven Finance Director and Vice President. Stephanie is an experienced financial analyst who has overseen the firm’s financial operations since 2017. Her in-depth knowledge of financial planning, reporting and analysis, and budgeting has been instrumental in guiding the financial success and stability of the company.
