The Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) offers free, evidence-based, objective research to support airport professionals in addressing real-world challenges. ACRP also provides opportunities for professional development, such as the Ambassador program, a premier practitioner engagement initiative within the Transportation Research Board.

ACRP Ambassadors volunteer to represent ACRP at industry events to help disseminate ACRP research to airports, engage airport practitioners around ACRP’s research process and programs, and connect the next generation of airport leaders. Ambassadors receive expensed conference registration to represent ACRP at industry events and have networking opportunities with other airport professionals. Any airport practitioner with first-hand knowledge of the ACRP research process, including past research team members or project panelists, can apply to become an ACRP Ambassador. Applications for the next Ambassador class are open until July 31, 2025.
As ACRP prepares to commemorate 20 years of evidence-based research, Ambassadors and other airport practitioners are participating by sharing their story and getting on the Impact Map. “As members of a rather niche industry with diverse opportunities for improvements, we rely on one another for lessons learned and best practices as we advance together. From evolving practices to design principals to better serve our community and business considerations, ACRP has been a wonderful link from our staff to peers across the industry!” shares Casey Ries, current ACRP Ambassador.
