WomenVenture Wednesday began with WAI’s Connect Breakfast, attended by more than 400 enthusiastic participants, sponsored by Avemco, United Airlines, and the Virginia Department of Aviation and took place at the Paul H. Poberezny Conference Center (PHP Tent). The event featured Dr. Anita Sengupta, aerospace engineer and Hydroplane Ltd. CEO and founder, and Emily Herron, aircraft owner and Madisonville Regional Airport manager in Kentucky. The speakers shared their different aviation experiences and provided their advice for the captivated audience.
“I was honored to kick-off WomenVenture at the WAI Connect Breakfast with our members, GirlVenture attendees, mentors, and all our friends,” says Women in Aviation International CEO Allison McKay. “Our powerhouse speakers with two diverse backgrounds, together with our passionate group of attendees made for an unforgettable experience that many WomenVenture participants consider the highlight of their week at Oshkosh.”
Now in its fifteenth year, WomenVenture, a week-long social and networking event for women during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, attracts hundreds of women who are part of the aviation community and enjoy getting together to be inspired, to network, and to just plain have fun.
