I’m going to be completely honest with you. I’ve been counting down the days until EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 since the very moment I hit the road home from AirVenture 2025. It’s what I do, it’s who I am! Sure, you lose count as you enter the ‘ber months, or burrr months, depending on where you live. You also start spending more time wondering how it’s 2026 already…and then February 2026…and then March 2026…rather than thinking about the days til AirVenture. However, at the same speed as the new year arrives, so does that lovely 100 days to go message that EAA sends out every year! Ohhhhhh yeah, it’s on now!!
Here comes all the excitement! The noise of a random plane flying overhead immediately has you picturing yourself on the flightline. You start spending a bit more time on Microsoft Flight Simulator and doing high speed passes over Oshkosh! Everything you do, everything you see – it all starts to remind you of the world’s greatest aviation celebration! Heck, even though there were many great game announcements during PlayStation’s State of Play yesterday, the only one that mattered was the new trailer (and release date announcement – October 2nd!) of the upcoming Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve! Plus, a pre-order bonus of the classic, Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War! Let’s go!!!
We’re so close now to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026! At the time of writing this, there are 46 days, 07 hours, 11 minutes, and 37 seconds to go! No, I’m not crazy, it’s on the official AirVenture website! Geez! Here, you can see it for yourself: https://www.eaa.org/airventure#
SO! Who else is ready??? 😊
…wait, I’m not even ready! I need to figure out how I want to capture the event this year. More videos? More pictures? What can I do that’s totally different and unique?? I also need to decide on clothing. More aviation/AirVenture shirts? More aviation-related video game shirts? Should I wear my Avi-8 watch or go digital to track all those steps? Carbs? No carbs?
Well, at least there’s always Spotted Cow……carbs it is!!!
See you all next month!
(PS, I’m totally replaying all the previous Ace Combat games leading up to AirVenture!)
Update: A new Walkthrough Trailer was published today for Ace Combat 8. Check it out below!
