NASAO Accepting Applications for 2023 Henry Ogrodzinski Scholarship

The NASAO Center for Aviation Research and Education is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications for the 2023 Henry Ogrodzinski Scholarship.

The Henry Ogrodzinski Scholarship is awarded to a college student for academic achievement in aviation or aerospace. The annual scholarship was created in memory of Henry Ogrodzinski, who spent more than 17 years leading the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) as its President/CEO and devoted his life to advocating for the aviation industry. The NASAO Center for Aviation Research and Education is pleased to help continue his legacy through the scholarship program.

NASAO will award up to three $1000 scholarships to college students for tuition, fees, books and/or supplies. Candidates must be college-level incoming juniors or seniors who are continuing their education in the aviation/aerospace industry and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
