APP Jet Center acquires FBO operations at Witham Field Airport in Stuart, Florida

APP Jet Center, a fixed–base operator (“FBO”) has announced the acquisition of FBO operations at Witham Field Airport in Stuart, Florida. This location complements the company’s existing operations in Washington DC, Denver, Colorado, Fort Pierce, Florida, and San Francisco, California.

APP CEO Dan Harrow said: “We are delighted to be integrating Stuart into APP’s growing network of FBO locations. We have been operating along Florida’s Treasure Coast for many years and have firsthand knowledge of the explosive growth for general aviation in South Florida.”

APP is making new infrastructure and other services available at its FBO locations. The Stuart acquisition is emblematic of APP’s commitment to continued growth in diverse and compelling markets across the country.

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
