GCR Hires Former San Diego County Airports Director

GCR Inc. has announced that Timothy Walsh, A.A.E. (Shown at right) has joined the firm as director of aviation services.  Most recently, Walsh was vice president within the Energy, Environment and Infrastructure Business Unit of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), focused on critical communications infrastructure and security. Prior to SAIC, Tim was director of airports for the county of San Diego, CA, managing eight airports and three large industrial airparks.  Tim also served as airport manager for the city of Santa Monica and the assistant airport manager for the city of Hayward, CA.

Walsh is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) with experience managing all facets of airport issues including strategy development, IT projects, operations, engineering, design, construction, planning, security, commercial airline recruitment, non-aeronautical revenue growth, FAA compliance, compatible land use, noise, AIP grant funding, minimum standards and aviation/non-aviation revenue development.
Brodt said they are looking forward to Walsh helping them grow in their newly emerging international markets.
