The Aero Club of Southern California will be holding its annual Howard Hughes Memorial Award Banquet on February 13, 2019. The gala event will be held at the Johnathan Club in downtown Los Angeles and honors the 50th Anniversary of the first maned- flight to the moon. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, one of the first men to walk on the surface of the moon, will be honored as the 40th Howard Hughes Memorial Award Recipient.
The Howard Hughes Memorial Award honors exceptional leaders who have advanced the fields of aviation or aerospace technology. The Aero Club of Southern California is affiliated with NAA a nationally recognized organization and it is a nonprofit that supports aviation and awards student scholarships annually in the field of Aerospace.
