BAKER AVIATION MAINTENANCE AND CONTACT AVIATION JOIN FORCES FOR AVIONICS/ADS-B SOLUTIONS

Baker Aviation announced an agreement with Contact Aviation to provide avionics installation and repairs, including ADS-B/C.

Contact Aviation is focused on avionics installations that increase the safety and reliability of business jets, turboprops, rotorcraft, and piston aircraft. Contact has developed and owns more than 20 sophisticated avionics Supplemental Type Certificates (STC), including two Rockwell Collins Proline 21 STCs. In addition, Contact Aviation has capabilities to supply avionics and equipment from most avionics manufacturers, including Universal Avionics, ACSS, Garmin, Cobham, and Gogo. John Shirk, Managing Director of Contact Aviation commented, “We strive to make aircraft more efficient and compliant with all the changes taking place in the avionics industry over the next few years. The marriage of Baker Aviation and Contact Aviation has created a force to be contended with, and now Baker customers will receive the services they require to meet their future maintenance and avionics upgrade needs. We look forward to working with the professional maintenance team at Baker Aviation to provide exceptional service at a reasonable cost, and to keep Baker customers flying in 2020 and beyond.”

“We are excited to be working with the talented and highly skilled Contact Aviation team to provide our Baker customers with these advanced avionics upgrades and installations at the same time as their inspections or repairs, right here at our Addison facility,” stated Ray Goyco, Jr., President and Chief Operating Officer at Baker Aviation. “Consolidations continue to happen throughout our region, making many operators concerned about being the little cog in a big wheel of a massive enterprise. At Baker, we remain focused on exceeding our customer’s expectations, and as a successful local maintenance provider, we continue to invest in the services our clients need most,” added Goyco.
