The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics (ODAA), at its latest meeting on March 6, announced that the FY2025-2029 Airport Construction Plan (ACP) will now move into the public comment phase.
The FY2025-2029 ACP includes 44 pro-growth development projects at airports across the state that are a part of the total 125 projects listed in the ACP. This ACP invests $316 million with $71.9M coming from ODAA, $196M from the FAA, and $47M of local matching funds.

The Department’s Airport Construction Program (ACP) programs federal and state funds regarding airport development across the state that is consistent with the goals of the Oklahoma Airport System Plan (OASP). The ACP allows the Department, FAA, and airport sponsors to anticipate infrastructure funding needs and accommodate changes in project scope, cost, and schedule based on multi-year planning.

The Commission also reviewed and approved projects for the following locations:
- Alva Regional Airport – New Jet A fuel system. Total cost: $652,972; ODAA share: $300,000.
- Bartlesville Municipal Airport – New taxiway for large hangar development area. Total cost: $2.026M; ODAA share: $1.18M.
- South Grand Lake Regional Airport – Land acquisition. Total cost: $205,500; ODAA share: $195,225.
Additionally, Commissioners reviewed and approved several PREP Fund projects at the following:
- Tulsa International Airport – Assist in recruiting new, nonstop air service between Tulsa and one of the following destinations: San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Boston, or Cancun. Total PREP funds approved: $2,000,000.
- West Woodward Airport – Hangar Acquisition. Total PREP funds approved cost: $316,500.
- Will Rogers World Airport – New Three-Bay MRO Hangar. Total cost: $37,053,197; PREP Funds approved: $19,600,000.

Director Ardies concluded the meeting with information on recent airport meetings, strategic planning sessions, interviews, and notable events attended. The next Commission meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in the ODOT First Floor Commission Room, 200 Northeast 21st Street in Oklahoma City.
