NCDOT Postpones Monroe Drone Workshop

Out of concern for the health and safety of attendees during the COVID-19 outbreak, the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Division of Aviation is postponing the Drone Workshop scheduled for April 9 in Monroe.

No makeup date has been set at this time. NCDOT will continue to work with the venue, South Piedmont Community College, to secure a future date and is committed to holding a drone workshop in the region when it is appropriate.

NCDOT’s Drone Workshops are full-day programs with presentations, exhibits and demonstrations designed to help public agencies and private businesses learn how to safely and effectively integrate drone technology into their operations. More than 1,000 people have attended the statewide series since its inception in 2017.
