Steven Baldwin Associates Adds Rion Haley to Team

Steven Baldwin Associates (SBA) has announced the hiring of Associate Rion Haley. Ms. Haley is a seasoned content professional with more than 30 years of business experience researching, writing, and editing articles, presentations, and marketing collateral. At SBA, she is responsible for project related research, the development of content material for client deliverables and presentations. Haley is also responsible for document QA/QC, as well as media and website development on behalf of the firm.

Haley’s background spans a variety of industries including, media, insurance, transportation (rail and air), hospitality, and non-profits. She began her professional career in journalism, gathering information for the Associated Press and then moved into documentary production with Discovery Channel. She eventually began working on magazines and has written for more than 10 national publications.

Haley spent years as the managing editor for Aviation Maintenance and Rotor & Wing magazines where she was responsible for the development of aviation subject matter, quality control, and website expansion. Most recently, Haley was the managing editor of Outdoor America and still writes a quarterly article for the magazine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism from York College of Pennsylvania.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
