Steven Baldwin Announces New Staff Members, Promotion

Now in their 8th year of business, Steven Baldwin Associates continues to diversify and offer more services for clients, including an extension of those services with an expanded HR Services Division and new staff. 

Joining the company as Senior Associates are Lisa Belt, who will lead the executive recruitment and HR services division and Chris Mullen, who will serve as a Project Director. Spencer Gillette, who has been with the firm since 2015, was promoted to Project Manager.

Lisa Belt

Lisa Belt, who has Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) accreditation, will oversee their executive recruiting efforts and other human resources support services. Previously, Belt served as the head of HR for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, MI, where she oversaw all matters pertaining to the transfer of employees from Kent County to a new Airport Authority. She also serves as a member of the Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) committee on human resources.

Belt’s professional career comprises over 25 years of strategic Human Resource management, executive & senior leadership recruitment, organizational development, labor & employee relations, contract negotiations, and succession planning. At Steven Baldwin Associates, Belt will be responsible for senior & executive level recruitment and human resource consulting. In her new position, she will assist clients in implementing strategies that drive efficiencies as well as align organizational structures to meet objectives, especially regarding leadership and management recruitment and retention. Chris Mullin

Chris Mullin brings extensive aviation management, operational expertise, and executive leadership experience from more than three decades in the industry. After a varied and successful career as an officer and aviator in the United States Marine Corps—where he served as an Executive Officer, Commanding Officer, and Chief of Staff in a variety of operations in Japan, Kuwait and Iraq—Mullin taught strategic leadership courses at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI  before moving on to become the Director of Willow Run Airport outside of Detroit. As the executive at Willow, he was responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the third busiest airport, in terms of operational volume, in the state of Michigan. His duties encompassed all aspects of airport administration, operations, and maintenance, both air and landside, for this national reliever airport supporting Detroit Metro Airport.

At Steven Baldwin Associates, Mullin will serve as Project Director on client assignments and assist with a variety of research and analysis for our clients including financial assessments, organizational reviews, strategic planning, and revenue optimization. Spencer Gillette

Spencer Gillette has been with the firm since 2015 when he was hired after serving as an intern and graduating from Western Michigan University with a degree in aviation management. Prior to his appointment, Spencer had five years of experience in aviation line operations and customer service. In his time at the firm, Spencer has worked on a wide range of client accounts and projects including governance transfers, FAA land releases, organizational assessments, comparable benchmarking analyses, and strategic initiatives, among others. Spencer is currently based on-site at a Michigan client focusing on strategic initiatives and a governance model review. Spencer is also a pilot, and has completed his private pilot license with instrument rating. Please join us as we congratulate Spencer on his promotion.
