Global Jet Capital Appoints Vivek Kaushal as Chief Executive Officer

Global Jet Capital has announced the appointment of Vivek Kaushal as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), taking over from Shawn Vick who will assume the role of Executive Chairman. Vivek joined the Company in 2015, in conjunction with Global Jet Capital’s acquisition of the GE Capital business aircraft portfolio and was named Chief Operating Officer in June 2019. Industry veteran Dave Labrozzi will remain with the Company as a Senior Advisor.

As Executive Chairman, Shawn Vick, who has served as a Partner with AE Industrial Partners since 2014, will continue to provide strategic direction and counsel to Global Jet Capital through regular engagement with the Company’s Limited Partners, Investment Committee, and Senior Leadership Team, which will now be led by Vivek Kaushal.

Vivek’s career includes nearly 30 years of leadership experience in various financing businesses, including serving as Chief Risk Officer for GE Capital Business Aviation Finance prior to its purchase by Global Jet Capital. He received an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
