The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) announced it has hired Mary Davis as Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing for the organization. Davis will manage TAA’s efforts related to business development, marketing and advertising of air service, commercial/industrial properties and airport services, as well as public, community, media and government relations. Ms. Davis will coordinate development of strategic communications and marketing plans designed to build TAA’s brand and promote business opportunities and service quality to the public, customers and business partners.
Mary most recently served as the Communications Administrator for the Town of Oro Valley, where she worked for nearly four years, managing the Town’s internal and external communications and media relations. She also supported Council and community relations, and managed special events for the Town.
Prior to working for the Town, Mary was the Director of Public Relations for The Caliber Group, a full-service marketing and public relations firm in Tucson. Her clients primarily included real estate and commercial development, healthcare and financial industries.
Mary has operated her own writing and consulting business since moving to Tucson from Delaware in 2004. She has extensive background working in government, nonprofit and for-profit companies in the areas of economic and business development, marketing and public relations. She currently serves on the local chapter and district board for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), as well as on the Tucson Rodeo Committee. She is also a volunteer with the Imagine Greater Tucson (IGT) visioning project, serving on the Public Outreach Committee.
