After a three-year hiatus, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base hosted Aerospace & Arizona Days this weekend. The theme of the two day event was "Davis-Monthan: Tucson Pride, Air Force Power."
One estimate had over 100,000 people attending on Saturday to see aerial demonstrations by various aircraft including the F-18, C-17, A-10’s, the Patriots Jet Team and of course the Air Force Thunderbirds making their first appearance since 2005.
The air show is typically held every two years but used to always coincide with one at Luke Air Force Base near Phoenix. With the new schedule the bases won’t have to compete for top acts.
