PIPER TO DISPLAY PRODUCT LINE AT OSHKOSH; FIRST READY SET FLY OWNER TO MAKE APPEARANCE

Piper Aircraft Inc. announced the company will exhibit its product line and a mockup of its new PiperJet Altaire at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2011, July 25-31. In addition, new Piper Archer owner and first Ready Set Fly pilot training participant Jon Roberts plans to attend the world’s largest gathering of general aviation enthusiasts to discuss his decision to learn to fly in his new Archer.

Piper Executive Vice President Randy Groom said the lineup of aircraft on static display this year includes Piper’s M-Class series – the turboprop Meridian and piston-powered Mirage and Matrix – and a special multi-engine Seminole LX and the single-engine Archer LX.

The Seminole LX which will be on display for the first time is an enhanced business version of the Seminole trainer aircraft to include an all-leather sporty interior, AmSafe airbag seatbelts, and landing gear lobe fairings that offer a potential speed increase of 3-5 knots.

The custom Ready Set Fly program covers individualized pilot training for new Archer owners and enables them, in as little as three weeks, to go from zero time to completion of their private pilot training safely, professionally and efficiently in their own aircraft. Groom said this new and innovative training program emphasizes Piper’s commitment to help build the aviation industry by providing a safe, professional entry-level pilot learning environment.
