Piper Aircraft Inc. and Winters Aviation, its authorized aircraft dealer in France and Belgium, will exhibit three M-Class single-engine turboprop Meridians at the 6th Cannes International General Aviation Exhibition June 7-9 at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (LFMD).
"Piper is looking forward to working in partnership with Winters Aviation at the Cannes AirShow, the only pure general aviation exhibition in France and in the South of Europe," said Piper Director of Marketing and Communications Jackie Carlon, who will represent Piper at the French event. "We will display the latest 2012 model improvements for the top-of-the-line single-engine Meridian."
Piper’s emphasis on its M-Class series at the Cannes exhibition reflects a growing trend in Europe toward new, more fuel-efficient business aircraft. Early this year Piper delivered three new Piper Meridian turboprops into France, and the company has five more M-Class single-engine aircraft set for delivery to retail customers in Europe this year.
"More buyers are selecting new fuel-efficient aircraft to replace larger twin-engine airplanes as attention turns to higher fuel costs," said Peter Winters, General Manager of Winters Aviation. "With Piper M-Class turboprops and piston-powered airplanes, they keep their cabin-class travel options."
