EMBRAER EXECUTIVE JETS APPOINTS JIM BECKSTEIN VICE PRESIDENT OF PRE-OWNED AIRCRAFT SALES

Embraer announces that Jim Beckstein has been named Vice President of the Company’s newly created Pre-Owned Sales Department for the Executive Jets division. Beckstein will manage all activities associated with this new department, which include trade quotes and pre-owned aircraft sales. He will report to Ernest Edwards, President, Embraer Executive Jets.

“Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Embraer team,” said Ernest Edwards. “We are fortunate to have him lead the worldwide sales efforts of this newly created department of pre-owned sales.”

“Today’s general aviation recovery hinges first and foremost on the recovery of its pre-owned market and I am proud and humbled to lead these efforts for the Executive Jets division at Embraer,” said Beckstein.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. After 12 years of commercial airline experience in various customer service roles, he transitioned into general aviation. Having responsibilities at respected executive jet manufacturers in account and sales management, sales support and field sales, Jim has been recognized for his leadership and high performance. Upon joining Embraer, he was asked to create a new team to manage pre-owned aircraft sales.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
