Mecaer Aviation Group, Inc. Hires New Director of Maintenance

Gary BrowneditMecaer Aviation Group, Inc. (MAG) announced they have hired Gary Brown as their Director of Maintenance.  Brown will manage the team of technicians for the FAA Part 145 maintenance facility at Northeast Philadelphia airport – PNE.

As Director of Maintenance, Brown brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and customer focus to MAG, Inc. with more than  20 years of experience in the aviation industry, 10 plus years working in Part 145 organizations, over 7 years supporting the AW139 and most recently served as Chief Inspector under a FAA Part 145 and EASA 145 organization. Brown’s training and licenses compliment an already accomplished career in aviation.

The Part 145 facility in Northeast Philadelphia maintains a myriad of helicopters and is a Leonardo Helicopter Service Center for the A109E/S. AW109SP, A119MKII and AB/AW139 helicopters.  Earlier this month it was announced the PNE facility would be the center of customization for the Bell 505 MAGnificent.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
