Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback will highlight the dedication ceremony September 29, for the new Rooks County Regional Airport. The ceremony will begin at approximately 2 p.m. CDT.
The Rooks County Regional Airport is the first new airport constructed in the state of Kansas since 1989. The all-weather airport replaces individual turf runway airports that have long served the communities of Plainville and Stockton.
In addition to the Governor, representatives from the Kansas congressional delegation, Federal Aviation Administration, state, county and local agencies will participate in the dedication. For more information, go to www.rookscountyairport.com .
