The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) is launching the first major redevelopment of Terminal 1 concessions at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) in nearly a decade.

This summer, the MAC will release a request for proposals (RFP) including more than 45 food, beverage and retail spaces across Terminal 1, which serves hub carrier Delta Air Lines and 10 other airlines. In preparation for the RFP release, the MAC is hosting a series of information sessions designed to help local and small business owners understand the RFP process and learn what is involved in operating at MSP.

“The MAC is proud of its strong partnerships with local entrepreneurs, and we’re committed to expanding opportunities for homegrown businesses to thrive at MSP, which serves more than 36 million travelers each year,” said Isabella Rhawie, MAC vice president and commercial revenue officer. “This is a prime opportunity for Minnesota-based small and emerging businesses to broaden their reach within an award-winning concessions program at one of the nation’s largest airports.”

The MSP concessions program encompasses approximately 125 venues across two terminals. The last major redevelopment of Terminal 1 concessions was completed in 2017, with the opening of 35 restaurants and stores.

Informational session topics:

  • Why airports offer unique and exciting business opportunities
