AirMed International Partners with Wheels Up to offer air medical transport flights

air med wheels up.jpg Wheels Up and AirMed International are partnering on an exclusive program to give Wheels Up flyers and their guests, complimentary access to private transport on AirMed International’s fleet of state-of-the-art medical jets. The unique program begins Dec. 1, 2015.

According to Dichter, the AirMed International program is available to Wheels Up members and listed passengers on any given trip itinerary, who require medical transport within 10 days of their scheduled Wheels Up flight. The service will provide relocation to the hospital of choice for patients in stable condition who become hospitalized more than 150 miles from their home, within the Wheels Up footprint that covers the U.S., parts of the Caribbean, northern Mexico, and southeastern Canada.

The joint announcement was made at the National Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition held in Las Vegas Nov. 17-19, where Wheels Up is exhibiting at Booth N137 in the Las Vegas Convention Center and 1203 at Henderson Executive Airport.

AirMed International transport specialists will seamlessly execute medical evacuations for Wheels Up members and their guests, serving as the liaison between the attending and receiving physicians while collecting all vital medical data and managing the patient itinerary and dispatch. Rivaling patient care in some of the finest hospitals, AirMed International’s fleet of jets are equipped with electrocardiogram monitors, transport and back-up ventilators, infusion pumps, fetal heart monitors, medical gas systems and more for multiple levels of critical care depending on medical issue.
