Airlines for America (A4A) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) congratulated President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance on their election victory.
“On behalf of our aviation business members, NATA congratulates President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance on their elections to the White House. NATA looks forward to partnering with the new Administration to advance issues important to both aviation businesses and to our nation, including the deployment of emerging aviation technologies and the modernization of our National Airspace System,” stated NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna. “Business aviation has a proven record of providing valuable, safe air transportation and critical public benefits to communities across the country, and President-elect Trump has a unique opportunity to preserve and enhance these vital transportation services provided by NATA’s aviation business members. We look forward to meeting with the transition team to discuss these and other areas where we can work together to strengthen the American economy, demonstrate global leadership in aviation safety, and safeguard the NAS.”
An A4A statement read, “We look forward to working with the new administration to advance policy priorities that will benefit American consumers, commerce and the economy. Commercial aviation—including passenger airlines and all-cargo carriers—proudly drives five percent of the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP), directly employs one million people and supports more than 10 million jobs across the country. U.S. carriers will work collaboratively with the new administration to ensure that flying remains the safest mode of transportation, while operating more than 26,000 flights and transporting 2.6 million people and 61,000 tons of cargo every day.”
