Avianca Celebrates Its 105th Anniversary

Avianca, the oldest airline in the Americas and the second oldest in the world, proudly celebrated its 105 years of history on December 5th. With a robust network of routes, it reaffirms its commitment to connecting the skies of Latin America, consolidating a legacy that has shaped over a century of aviation on the continent.

With the aim of continuing to unite the regions in Colombia, as it has done since 1919, the company will be giving away 105 round-trip tickets on direct domestic flights at the airports of Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and Cartagena*.

“We are celebrating our 105th anniversary, with more than 40 domestic routes, with which we continue to connect the regions of Colombia. That is why we are carrying out this activity today, so that our clients continue to fly and that more and more people can get to know the country of beauty,” said Carolina Cortés, Global Vice President of Corporate Communications and Reputation at Avianca.

Since its beginnings in Barranquilla in 1919, Avianca has been a pioneer in the aviation industry and, after more than a century, has consolidated an extensive network of routes that reflects its mission to continue connecting the regions of Colombia and the country with the world.
