The International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA) today announced Eric Fanning, President and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), will start his two-year term as chair. Fanning assumes the role after Jan Pie, Secretary General of the Aerospace, Security, and Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD).
“Aerospace and defense manufacturers are at the heart of the aviation ecosystem, and global partnerships are key to maintaining safety, security, and sustainability of that ecosystem,” Fanning said. “For the last two years, Jan has led ICCAIA with distinction, navigating challenges and creating exciting new opportunities for our industry globally. I look forward to stepping back into the role of chair after his exceptional leadership.”
“Over the last two years, ICCAIA and our members have made great strides towards achieving a safer, more sustainable future for aviation,” Pie said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to chair a great convening organization like ICCAIA, and I look forward to continued success under Eric’s leadership.”
ICCAIA is alternately chaired by the President and CEO of AIA and the Secretary General of Aerospace, Security, and Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD), exchanging position every two years. There are two vice-chairs, one permanent, and one which rotates among the chief executives of the remaining member associations.
