Southwest Airlines Launches Nonstop Service Between Memphis and Austin in October

Southwest Airlines has launched its nonstop service between Frederick W. Smith International Airport (MEM) and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). The flight will operate six days weekly from Sunday through Friday. Tickets are on sale at www.southwest.com.

With the addition of Austin, Southwest now serves 11 destinations from MEM, including Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, and Tampa.

“It’s great to see Southwest adding to its number of destinations at MEM,” said Michael Keeney, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “The addition of Austin service provides more options for Memphis passengers.”

The schedule is as follows (times subject to change):

MEM to AUS

  • Departs: 11:50 am (CT)
  • Arrives: 1:45 pm (CT)

AUS to MEM

  • Departs: 2:45 pm (CT)
  • Arrives: 4:35 pm (CT)
