The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) concluded its 2025 Annual Convention and Trade Show in Anchorage, Alaska held Sept. 21-24, 2025, drawing more than 400 attendees and representatives from 36 states, NASAO leadership called the event a resounding success.

“NASAO’s 94th annual meeting again provided a valuable opportunity for state aviation agency leaders to confer with their FAA partners on critical policy issues and discuss the safe integration of emerging technologies into the National Airspace System,“ said Greg Pecoraro, NASAO President and CEO. “It also afforded them an opportunity to engage with leading members of the aviation industry to learn about new developments, technologies, and techniques for managing common challenges faced by states and airports that are critical to ensuring safety throughout the system.”

“Alaska’s Department of Transportation and Public Facilities was thrilled to host our sister state aviation agencies here in Anchorage this week” said Troy LaRue, Operations Manager of Statewide Aviation. “For this year’s theme, we suggested ‘Navigating New Frontiers’ to help us showcase how aviation has been critical not just to communities here in Alaska, but has created a path to exploring our world, developing new technologies, and tying together our vast nation. I’m extremely proud of our host team from Statewide Aviation and the Alaska International Airport System who helped plan the event and worked tirelessly. Their dedication, along with the incredible collaboration from the NASAO team – truly the best team to work with – made this event so successful. It is an extreme honor to host and serve this group and I’m so pleased to be one of them.”

The four-day event featured trade show floor demonstrations and exhibits, keynote addresses from Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities Commissioner Ryan Anderson, P.E., and Deputy Commissioner, Katherine Keith, PMP, PMI-ACP, as well as panel sessions, and networking opportunities.
