The Virginia Aviation Board allocated a total of $4,176,496.12 to cover 25 improvement projects at 16 airports across the Commonwealth. The action was taken at the Board’s quarterly meeting, which was held May 21, 2025 in Staunton.
Greg Campbell, director of the Virginia Department of Aviation, said, “The 25 projects awarded funding by the Virginia Aviation Board at its quarterly meeting are meaningful enhancements that will improve the experience for pilots, aviation enthusiasts and the flying public.”
Virginia Aviation Board Chairman Randy Burdette said, “We continue to make important investments in our system of 65 public-use airports in Virginia. These investments help ensure that Virginia aviation ecosystem is consistently among the best in the country.”
