Pete Bunce Appointed to Blackhawk Group Board of Directors

The Blackhawk Group has announced that Pete Bunce, former President and CEO of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Company.

Bunce brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished legacy in both military and civil aviation. Recently retired from GAMA, where he served from 2005 to 2025, he has been a leading voice in aviation policy, safety, and innovation over the course of nearly five decades.

Before joining GAMA, Bunce served 26 years in the United States Air Force, culminating his military career as Director of the Air Force Congressional Budget and Appropriations Liaison. An accomplished aviator, he has logged over 7,500 flight hours across a broad range of military and civilian aircraft.

Throughout his career, Bunce has served on several influential advisory bodies, including the FAA’s Management Advisory Council, the NextGen Advisory Committee, and NASA’s Aeronautics Committee. His contributions to aviation have earned him numerous accolades, including induction into the Living Legends of Aviation and the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame, as well as the EAA’s prestigious Freedom of Flight Award.

“Pete’s deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and passion for aviation make him a tremendous addition to our Board,” said Chad Cundiff, CEO of The Blackhawk Group. “We are honored to welcome him and look forward to the unique insights and the leadership he will bring as we continue to grow and innovate in the aviation sector.”
