Wipaire, Inc. has received certification for Hartzell Propeller’s composite Trailblazer props destined for Cessna T206H aircraft.
The prop is available for floatplanes and landplanes and delivers increased performance in both configurations. As tested on a Wipline 3450-equipped T206H, the Trailblazer offers an eight percent reduction in ground roll and water run compared to a metal floatplane propeller.
The Trailblazer prop also gives a five percent increase in climb and removes the RPM limitation, while giving owners and operators an 8-19 pound weight savings on the nose, where it means the most on floats. The 84″ Trailblazer propeller is approved in the United States and Canada.
“The Trailblazer prop pulls hard and really performs,” said Bob Wiplinger, CEO of Wipaire. “It’s an improvement in every regime, from weight to thrust to climb performance, and that makes it a great prop on floats. Its shape and design also make it a quiet prop, which keeps your neighbors happy.”
Executive Vice President of Hartzell Propeller JJ Frigge said, “Our Trailblazer propellers were designed and developed with the backcountry in mind, whether that is in the mountains of Idaho or the lakes of Canada. We congratulate Wipaire on this new certification and look forward to seeing more Trailblazers on Wipline float-equipped aircraft.”
