AOPA announced that John Collins has re-joined AOPA in the role of Manager of Aviation Safety Programs, in their Fredrick, Maryland office. In this role, Collins will oversee the Air Safety Institute’s In-Person Flight Instructor Refresher Courses, Online eFIRC, and In-Person Safety Seminars. Additionally, he will represent ASI at industry and government meetings.
Collins has a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management and Flight Operations from the University of Dubuque and 20 years of experience in the aviation field. John has a commercial pilot certificate, airplane single and multiengine land, with an instrument rating. He is also a certificated flight instructor (airplane single and multiengine land, instrument airplane) and ground instructor (advanced and instrument ratings).
