NORTH DAKOTA BREAKS FEBRUARY ENPLANEMENT RECORD

North Dakota had the most active month of February in history recording 100,999 airport passengers during that time, an increase of 8% over the previous year. This record breaking month also resulted in four commercial service airports achieving their highest passenger count as well. The record number was set even with Jamestown and Devil’s Lake airports losing its only air service with Great Lakes Airlines on February 1st. There’s good news, though, as SkyWest announced that it will step in to provide 11 roundtrip flights each week from both Jamestown and Devil’s Lake to Denver. “With SkyWest recently announcing jet service starting in June for Devils Lake and Jamestown, all eight of our commercial service airports in North Dakota will soon be able to provide jet service to the flying public,” said Kyle Wanner, Interim Director of the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission.
