Coast Air Teams with C&S for New Development at San Diego’s Montgomery Field

Coast Air Center, LLC  was selected by the City of San Diego for land lease development rights for a 9.4-acre commercial aeronautical development at Montgomery–Gibbs Executive Airport. Coast Air Center partnered with C&S as the design-build contractor to provide new corporate/business aircraft facilities, a new flight school facility and a fixed base operator (FBO). The Coast Air development team worked closely with C&S for more than a year to plan and conceptually lay out the development. The project will be developed in three phases, with phases I and II starting now with 28,000 square feet of corporate aircraft hangar storage and 8,500 square feet of flight school and public amenities areas for aviation users at Montgomery–Gibbs Executive Airport. This facility will also include all new infrastructure and will address modernizing the entire 9.4 acres of existing conditions. C&S is currently developing a master plan for Montgomery–Gibbs Executive as the City and FAA see this airport as a vital economic engine for the City and County of San Diego. This development is one of many that will take place over the next decade to improve safety at the airport, provide space for future demands of business aircraft and will improve makeup of the Kearny Mesa Area.
