{"id":963,"date":"2012-06-26T05:58:39","date_gmt":"2012-06-26T05:58:39","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2016-06-18T19:59:18","modified_gmt":"2016-06-18T19:59:18","slug":"tucson-airport-hires-bewley-director-operations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/arizona\/tucson-airport-hires-bewley-director-operations\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Tucson Airport Hires Bewley as Director of Operations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) in Tucson, Arizona, announced last week that Danette Bewley has joined TAA as director of operations, a position that was newly created. &nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/DanetteBewleyedit1.jpg\" width=\"111\" height=\"161\" align=\"right\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div>Bewley&rsquo;s 23-year airport management career has taken her around the nation. She recently served as assistant director of airport economic development for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. Bewley, who is a private pilot, previously held the director position at Jacksonville International Airport and worked at San Diego International Airport in several capacities over a 14-year period.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&ldquo;I entered the aviation industry at birth,&rdquo; said Bewley, whose father was a Navy fighter pilot and commercial airline pilot for more than 35 years.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Bewley earned her Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) designation from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and has been a member of AAAE&rsquo;s board or directors and board of examiners.
