A wide variety of technologies exist to track aircraft, but these technologies have not been consistently integrated.

“Our AIRCOM® FlightTracker arms airlines with the powerful flight-tracking capabilities they need to actively enhance their flight operations and meet the ICAO’s forthcoming 15- and one-minute tracking best-practice requirements. By pulling together and integrating a wealth of aircraft position sources, including ACARS, ADS-B, radar and ATC Datalink, our AIRCOM® FlightTracker offers 100% global, real-time coverage to all airlines – without the need for costly modifications.”

In bringing together the best available inflight position data from multiple sources in one application, SITAONAIR’s AIRCOM® FlightTracker empowers airline cockpit crews and operations teams to maintain more accurate aircraft awareness. The knowledge that bridges any ANSP tracking gaps may include problematic weather and expected en-route turbulence information, helping to improve flight operations and support timely pilot decision-making.

AIRCOM® FlightTracker also enables automated reporting in both normal and abnormal operations, and can also be configured to help airlines meet the ICAO’s one-minute distress tracking standard – four years before its introduction.

For more information about SITAONAIR’s AIRCOM® FlightTracker and FlightMessenger, visit www.sitaonair.aero, submit an enquiry form or speak to your local SITAONAIR contact.

Jeju Air has become South Korea’s first low-cost carrier (LCC) to adopt SITAONAIR’s AIRCOM® FlightTracker, equipping the carrier to meet the incoming International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) 2018 flight-tracking mandate.
