The device was built by Frasca International Inc. \u2013 a leading provider of high-fidelity flight training systems \u2013 using a cabin provided by Daher for installation at SIMCOM&#8217;s Lee Vista Training Center in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Features of the new FTD include an actual Garmin G3000 digital avionics suite in the cockpit, with touch-screen controls and incorporating a weather radar, a synthetic vision terrain awareness system and traffic advisory system. Additional realism is provided by RSi Visual Systems\u2019 XT4 image generation and display system, offering a 220-degree external field of view.<\/p>\n<p>This new equipment joins a fully operational fleet of FTDs for the Daher TBM 700 and TBM 850\/TBM 900 aircraft versions at SIMCOM\u2019s Orlando facility, where the company\u2019s instructors are providing pilot training in highly-realistic environments. &#8220;Lifelike training is very important for high-performance aircraft, and we are pleased that the continued partnership with SIMCOM will make TBM 930 transition training available for our customers,\u201d stated Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of the Daher Airplane Business Unit.<\/p>\n<p>He said providing premium services to TBM owners and operators is a priority for Daher, with such relationships as the SIMCOM partnership ensuring that quality training resources are available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first TBM 930 simulator \u2013 a high-fidelity Flight Training Device (FTD) \u2013 has just been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration, enabling its service entry next month in courses at Florida-based SIMCOM Aviation Training, which is Daher\u2019s U.S. training partner.
