As a software platform for real-time information management, our AIS will optimize decision-making processes, facilitate operational excellence and underpin a significant expansion of Peru\u2019s primary airport.<\/p>\n<p>Lima Airport Partners (\u201cLAP\u201d) have plans to improve and expand the airport, including a new passenger terminal and a second runway, making it the largest privately-funded infrastructure project in Peru.<\/p>\n<p>Ultra\u2019s AIS project will initially focus on increasing the efficiency and operational capacity of the existing terminal operation. Key benefits to LAP, its airlines and passengers include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Automation of operational processes to meet the growing demand and to improve utilization of existing resources that support more than 18 million passengers per year<\/li>\n<li>Allows LAP to utilize their skills and experience to focus more on tactical and strategic operational decisions, rather than repetitive daily tasks, which lead to greater efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Collection of data for analysis and forecasting of \u201cwhat if\u201d scenarios, improving efficiency and operational flexibility for the airport<\/li>\n<li>An AIS platform that is scalable and can be managed by LAP without costly upgrades and system support services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ultra\u2019s Airport Information System, comprised of an Airport Operational Database (AODB), a Flight Management System, Data Warehouse, Resource Management System and ESB\/Integration Broker, will be fully integrated with a variety of other operational and information systems at Lima Airport. Our Integration Broker (an Airport Operations ESB) will serve as the \u201cmiddleware\u201d for the AIS \u2013 to unlock value from the distribution and use of real-time data.<\/p>\n<p>In partnering with Ultra, LAP has chosen a reliable, comprehensive and highly configurable solution that is currently supporting some of the largest and most successful airport operations around the globe.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are growing rapidly and we require systems that can be readily adapted to our needs and that simplify intersystem communications\u201d, said Luis Saenz, the IT Director for LAP.\u00c2\u00a0 \u201cUltra\u2019s solution will enable us to better partner with our airlines and other stakeholders for operational efficiency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once the AIS is fully operational by the end of 2017, the airlines and their passengers will see immediate and measurable benefits in efficiency, communication and coordination at Lima Airport.
