(DBT). The agreement includes the following products and services being purchased by DBT from Vaisala:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 U.S. Automated Weather Observing Systems (AWOS) products<br \/>\n\u2022 AWOS Field Service and Technical Support<br \/>\n\u2022 AWOS NADIN Data Services<br \/>\n\u2022 NavAids Field Service<br \/>\n\u2022 Road Weather Information System (RWIS) Field Service Maintenance Contracts<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis simplification will allow Vaisala to focus on our global weather technology platforms,\u201d says Antero Jarvinen, Head of Transportation business unit. Vaisala will continue innovating and manufacturing:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Comprehensive sensor and information services for transportation<br \/>\n\u2022 New sensing technologies for the U.S. AWOS application to be sold through DBT<br \/>\n\u2022 Remain a leading global supplier of RWIS equipment and information systems<\/p>\n<p>Vaisala and DBT representatives will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition until the transfer of assets on August 1, 2016, when DBT assumes full responsibility of the abovementioned products and services. DBT will also become a strategic partner with Vaisala.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The opportunity to acquire Vaisala&#8217;s North American transportation services assets is a win-win for the customers, employees, Vaisala, and us,&#8221; said DBT Chairman, Mike Delk. &#8220;We are aligning ourselves with Vaisala and their superior products while delivering outstanding service to the customer.&#8221; &#8220;We are thrilled to be working with many of the same employees the customers have come to know and trust with Vaisala,&#8221; said DBT CEO David Barnes.
