{"id":7651,"date":"2017-02-07T21:12:06","date_gmt":"2017-02-07T21:12:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=7651"},"modified":"2017-02-07T21:12:06","modified_gmt":"2017-02-07T21:12:06","slug":"baker-aviation-receives-worldwide-operations-specifications-and-10-or-more-passenger-approval","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/news\/baker-aviation-receives-worldwide-operations-specifications-and-10-or-more-passenger-approval\/%20","title":{"rendered":"BAKER AVIATION RECEIVES WORLDWIDE OPERATIONS SPECIFICATIONS AND \u201c10 OR MORE\u201d PASSENGER APPROVAL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Baker Aviation, a full-service charter, aircraft management, and maintenance company, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, has announced it has received its worldwide operations specifications and \u201c10 or more\u201d passenger approval from the FAA for their Part 135 Air Carrier Operation (FAA 135 # 7BAA817M).<\/p>\n<p>As part of receiving their worldwide operations specifications, Baker Aviation participated in a \u201cproving run\u201d with FAA International Inspectors, using the Baker Aviation Falcon 50EX to cross the North Atlantic in September 2016. These specifications now allow Baker Aviation to conduct flight operations around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201c10 or more\u201d passenger approval allows Baker Aviation to operate aircraft with 10 or more passenger seats. Baker Aviation was granted the \u201c10 or more\u201d authorization when their Embraer Legacy 600 was added to their Part 135 certificate. As part of the approval process, Baker Aviation\u2019s leadership team developed their General Maintenance Manual (GMM), which is a comprehensive manual that includes procedures for maintenance, inspection, quality assurance, recordkeeping, training, airworthiness releases, the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance (CASS) program, and other additional authorization requirements. The procedures are standardized and applicable to all aircraft in Baker\u2019s fleet, in addition to the planes with 10 or more passenger seats.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Baker Aviation pursued these approvals to accommodate the demands of their growing fleet. \u201cOur managed fleet has been growing in the Heavy Jet category, and we continually receive requests to fly more than 10 passengers,\u201d stated W.
