Despite the reduction in seating capacity, the statewide average aircraft load factor increased from 82% to 84%, indicating that a greater percentage of available airline seats were occupied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Airline operational reliability remained strong throughout August, with 1,758 successful departures and only five flight cancellations statewide, representing a cancellation rate of just 0.3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the first eight months of 2026, North Dakota airports recorded 868,664 passenger boardings, a decrease of 2.4% compared to the same period in 2025.
