Duffy has announced the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investing $84.4 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/airports\/aip\/2026_aip_grants\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/airports\/aip\/2026_aip_grants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grants<\/a> in Texas, North Carolina, and Wyoming airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These dollars will go towards strengthening and modernizing essential facilities, improving airfield infrastructure, enhancing passenger amenities, and addressing needs that support safe and efficient airport operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This round of AIP grants includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>$40.9 million to San Antonio International Airport for airfield drainage reconstruction and erosion control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$17.5 million to Abilene Regional Airport for terminal expansion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$16.6 million to Jackson Hole Airport for taxiway rehabilitation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$3 million to Wilmington International Airport to expand the apron<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAcross the country, we are making long overdue investments into airport infrastructure that will enhance the travel experience for American families. Through runway, terminal, and facility updates, we are making sure our overall systems are more reliable and resilient,\u201d said U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs we continue strengthening our nation\u2019s aviation infrastructure, these grants give airports the resources they need to move forward with important projects,\u201d said FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford. \u201cFrom runway and taxiway improvements to terminal upgrades and other critical infrastructure, these investments will help airports across the country maintain safe, efficient and reliable facilities.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P.
