{"id":36130,"date":"2026-08-03T16:19:51","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T16:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=36130"},"modified":"2026-08-03T16:30:57","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T16:30:57","slug":"mndot-awards-8-million-for-safety-upgrades-at-minnesota-airports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/news\/airports\/mndot-awards-8-million-for-safety-upgrades-at-minnesota-airports\/%20","title":{"rendered":"MnDOT Awards $8 Million for Safety Upgrades at Minnesota Airports"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Photo &#8211; Construction project taking place at Rochester International Airport (RST)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Improvement projects at 39 Minnesota airports recently got clearance for takeoff, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dot.state.mn.us\/aero\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.dot.state.mn.us\/aero\/\">Minnesota Department of Transportation<\/a> announced today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MnDOT will award $8 million collectively for pavement improvement and turf rehabilitation, crack rehabilitation and removal of obstructions on runways and taxiways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other projects include planning for stormwater pollution prevention, fuel pump replacements, facilities upgrades and maintenance and security lighting.
