She is one of the youngest airport professionals in the country to earn her A.A.E. The process culminates in a final interview with a panel of A.A.E.s, who require candidates to provide in-depth expertise on a variety of topics on demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Earning the A.A.E. credential takes rigorous discipline and a commitment to excellence as an airport professional,&#8221; said David Schaumburg, A.A.E., ACE-Operations, director of aviation for SGF. &#8220;Over the years, Angela has exceeded every expectation, striving for greater both in exceptional operations and her own professional growth. Her drive to learn and lead with excellence inspires those around her to continuous improvement at the airport.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Angela began her career at Springfield-Branson National Airport through a job shadow, while in high school in Stockton. She went on to work as a gate, ramp and ticket counter agent for Allegiant Airlines before joining the SGF Operations Team, eventually becoming the Lead Airport Operations Center Agent in 2025. She successfully earned her A.A.E. Credential in Detroit on June 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This moment and milestone in my aviation career would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of some incredible people along the way, particularly Dave Schaumburg,&#8221; said Angela Pitts, A.A.E. &#8220;Dave&#8217;s mentorship, endless support and steady leadership over the years played a huge role in my professional growth.
